As of today Wednesday, March 18th 2020.

Village Administrator, Virgil Giles announces “The Village of Greenwich has closed all Government Buildings, including the Municipal Building, Utility Garages, Street Department and Water Department to the public until further notice.” Following in suit with Greenwich Police Departments Closing of their lobby earlier today. (See Article)

The goal is to ensure public safety and minimize possible exposure to the coronavirus. “The Village understands we are in uncharted waters and these proactive measures will aid in village personnel to continue to serve the village day in and day out.” Said Giles.

Utility Payments can be dropped off in the Dropbox located at the west-side of the municipal building, payment is also accepted at the Civista Bank in Greenwich (drive-thru only), or online through the Village of Greenwich Website.

This decision was made in the community’s best interest as the village continues to consult with public health officials and county and state leaders to assess the rapidly evolving impact of the virus.
