A few notes on the snow advisory levels:
1. Greenwich Police does not declare advisory levels. The levels are decided by the Huron County Sheriffs Office.
2. Advisory levels are issued for the purpose of making the citizens of Huron County aware of current roadway conditions.
3. Advisory levels are issued to caution those who drive to work so that they can plan accordingly to allow enough time for them to commute safely.
4. Advisory levels and the Huron County Sheriffs Office do not dictate whether you should report to work or not nor do they excuse you from work. This is a matter that is solely between you and your employer.
During inclimate weather, always use caution when driving on the roadways. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling. We will keep you updated on weather conditions as they develop and will adjust advisory levels accordingly. Stay safe!
